BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The mother of former NFL wide receiver and Buffalo native Mike Williams said her son was still breathing Saturday night in a Tampa hospital, but used a football analogy to convey the outlook: "I need a Hail Mary."Williams was taken off a ventilator Friday in accordance with his wishes, but remained unresponsive more than 24 hours later, according to his mother, Mary Rosenthal. The 36-year-old had been on life support after suffering complications from a workplace accident."He said, if this ever happens to me, to pull my plug because I don’t want to live like that," Rosenthal told Nexstar's WIVB. "Those are his wishes. When he was a football player, he had already signed the papers."Those close to Williams are asking for continued prayers for his recovery. Rosenthal added a second request: Get your money back if you donated to the GoFundMe set up by Williams' biological father. When will fall colors peak in California? There's a map for that

Published Mon, 24 Feb 2025 04:22:23 GMT

It’s clear that fall is nearly upon us. Labor Day has passed, pumpkin spice everything is back, and we’re losing daylight. For some, the leaves may have already started changing color. For others, it won’t be long until the trees combust into reds, yellows, oranges, and browns. In just a few weeks, some parts of the country will be seeing peak fall colors, according to a new prediction map. SmokyMountains.com, a travel brand dedicated to promoting the Smoky Mountain region, produces a fall foliage map every year, show when areas in the U.S. will near, reach, and surpass peak colors. They use historical temperature and precipitation data, forecasted temperature and precipitation, the types of trees known to be in the area, and user-reported information to develop their fall foliage forecast. While it may not be completely accurate, it does offer insight into how soon the autumn colors will peak. As of September 7, only a handful of areas, primarily in the northern U.S....

Kittle has at least four catches in each of his previous season openers, including eight receptions (54 yards) in the 2019 opening win at Tampa Bay. Two weeks after that game, Kittle had six catches (57 yards) in the 49ers’ 24-20 win over the Steelers at Levi’s Stadium.INACTIVE LISTCornerback Charvarius Ward, the only other player listed as questionable, is active and expected to start.Inactive are quarterback Brandon...
